This car was saved from being recycled into a ford escort. It took several years blood and sweat to make it roll again. Every panel has been replaced except for the roof and passenger rear floor. All the work has been performed by myself it has been a labor of love...Oh yes, it has 442 in the vin# | | | | | Car History | I paid $1500.00 for it in 1999, I pulled up next to the car at a traffic light on a work week day in the afternoon during the summer time in Gary,Indiana. (I once had a regular 350 cutlass at one time and enjoyed it very much). I asked if he would like to sell it and he yelled over the probably rotted exhaust for $1500 its yours..He yelled once again his phone# then drove away squalking the tires probably from a poor clutch or linkage or maybe a combination of several things. He would drive the cutlass to and from the U.S.steel yard for work nearly everyday in what ever kind of midwest weather would bring. The cutlass had been in a bone stock kind of condition with just some flaws...To many to count. People say your vehicle is an extension of who your are..
